The English Education Resource Center (EERC) director and consultants are present to collaborate with teachers in discussing and resolving problems together.
We hold a workshop once a month in order to enhance communication among all Foreign English Teachers (FETs) and provide a welcoming space for teachers to discuss any issues they encounter at school.

We held our first workshop of the semester on September 11 that brought everyone together for a wonderful start. We’re excited to welcome six new teachers to our team this term!
Today's workshop focused on the preparation for the upcoming Citywide English Day. Teachers will be grouped into teams of 2-3 to design a game station that incorporates the themes of "Sports," "Sustainability," and "Health." This activity aims to blend elements of sports with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), encouraging students not only to boost their English skills but also to understand the importance of health and sustainability.
At the end of workshop, we’ve prepared traditional mooncakes for each teacher to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and share a taste of Taiwan's unique culture. Wishing everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Citywide English Day & Preparations
Chiayi Citywide English Day is a special event organized by Chiayi City, inviting students from various schools to participate in challenges where only English is allowed.
The goal is to create a fully English-speaking environment, helping children grow through interactive games.
In the photo, you can see teachers setting up game stations for the event.
Each station is themed around a different sport, and the children must follow teachers' directions, work as a team, and follow the rules to successfully complete each challenge!

Teacher Training
It's our pleasure to invite Professor Jeffrey Gamble to our workshop, where he delivered an insightful session on the Fundamentals of EFL Lesson Planning. The workshop covered key topics such as competency-based and objective-driven curriculum design.
Not only shared his extensive teaching experience but also integrated real-life examples with established academic theories, professor Gamble has provided participants with both practical and theoretical insights.
Professor Gamble encouraged the Foreign English Teachers (FETs) to create their own lesson plans in an engaging and interactive segment. Each group showcased exceptional creativity and effort, producing outstanding results. The workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience, leaving everyone with enhanced skills and fresh ideas for EFL teaching.
